18 hole Mixed Stableford with men playing from the white tees and ladies from the red tees.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 95% of Course Handicap. 

Sign in online or via the clubhouse terminals before commencing your round for entry to the competition and the optional two's sweep.

ENTER SCORES ONLINE or via the clubhouse terminals (by 7.30pm latest) on completion of your round and then post your completed and signed card in the Comps box.

This week's competions are the Summer Cup 18 hole Stableford and a 9 hole stableford Q competition.

There is an upper handicap limit of 30 for the Cup only. The winner of the cup is the best Stableford score regardless of division with a handicap limit of 30. Other prizes are awarded from 2nd to 5th regardless of division.

Please book your tee via the sign-up sheet on the Seniors Notice board in the Foyer and organise your own 4 balls.

Obtain your scorecard from the Pro shop on Thursday and tell the Pro you are playing in the senior's comp.
Before playing, we would ask all members to sign in individually via HowDidiDo on the computer or your phone.
The comp on HowDidiDo will say 'Singles Stableford'. but this is just to collect the entry fee.

Enter full names and handicaps on your scorecard and exchange it with the other pair for scoring purposes.
At the end of the round check your card and score, and make sure the Player and Scorer sign it.
DO NOT ENTER YOUR SCORES ONTO THE COMPUTER.

Please remove the bottom section from your scorecard and bring it into the clubhouse.

A qualifier for the Men's Eclectic (best gross and nett scores at each hole overall Thursday and Saturday Medals to October) and the Gosling Cup (best 6 aggregate gross and net rounds over the same events) for which there is no separate entry fee.

The Rabbits Cup is awarded to the highest placed player with a Playing Handicap of 23 or over.

The winner of the Lady Captain's Salver is the best 18 hole Stableford score regardless of division. Other prizes are awarded by the Lady Captain.

Men's medal from the White tees. 36 holes over 2 days. Trophy presentation will take place after completion of round 2 on the Sunday at around 5pm.

Book for Saturday only and you will be entered for the Sunday without any need for separate booking or sign in.  Entry fees of £6 covering the Scratch Cup and Carlisle Benson Trophy will be charged on sign in on day 1 and scores must be returned online for both days, with signed cards to be posted to the Comps box.

Tee times on BRS are approximate for booking purposes only and, in keeping with tradition, a draw will be made for tee times and playing partners, with every effort being made to allocate a tee time within an hour of the time booked on BRS.  The tee sheet will be locked at 23.59 on Wednesday 28th June to allow the draw to be published, so please book early.   Play will be in 3 balls to reflect the special nature of this event.

The Scratch Cup is awarded to the best 2 round gross score, plus prizes for the top 3 gross scores overall.

The Carlisle Benson Trophy is awarded to the best 2 round nett score (based on a maximum 22 Playing Handicap as an Honours Board trophy), plus prizes for the top 4 players overall (no handicap limit applies, subject to having played 3 qualifying comps in the last 12 months). Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 95% of Course Handicap.  

In addition, prizes will be awarded for the best nett and best gross score on each day for players not already in the main prizes.

Simply record your correct gross score on each hole. The Competition Committee will make any required adjustments for the 22 shot limit.

The Ladies Club Championship will be played over consecutive days on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024. The club champion will be the the player with the lowest gross (scratch) score over the 36 holes played. There will also be a net champion for this competition and prizes awarded to best net on the Saturday and best net on the Sunday.

This week's competitions are the rescheduled Spring Meeting 18 hole Medal and a concurrent 9 hole stableford Q competition.

There is an upper handicap limit of 30 for the Cup only. The winner of the cup is the best net Medal score regardless of division with a handicap limit of 30. Other prizes are awarded for best scratch, other divisional winners and divisional runners up. In addition, the best gross score in Bronze receives the Victor Oade Coffee Pot.

Enter full names and handicaps on your scorecard and exchange it with a partner for scoring purposes. At the end of the round check your card and score and make sure the Player and Scorer sign it.

Enter your score electronically into the How Did I Do system 

Please remove the bottom section from your scorecard before placing it into the SENIORS letter box in the Players Lounge in the Club House

No handicap limit applies for prizes on the day (subject to having played 3 qualifying comps in the last 12 months), but as the Captain's Cup is an Honours Board event, there will be a maximum of 22 Playing Handicap applied for the cup. The Competition Committee will make any required adjustments for the 22 shot limit.

This week's competitions are an 18 hole Stableford qualifier and a concurrent 9 hole Stableford qualifier competition.

Ladies who are Grandmothers are also eligible to enter the Grannies Cup. This applies for both the 18 hole and the 9 hole competition. There is a limit of 30 handicap index for the 18 hole Grannies cup only. Prizes in the Grannies Cup are awarded to the winner and runner up. In additional a prize is awarded to the 9 hole winner. These winners are not eligible for the standard Stableford prizes which are awarded to the rest of the field according to the normal prize structure.

The ordinary 18 hole stableford is £2.50 to enter and the Grannies cup is £3.00. For the 9 hole competition, standard entry is £1.50 and Grannies Cup is £2.00. When signing in, select the option to enter the Grannies Cup and write on your scorecard "Grannies Cup" if you wish to enter this competition. Write "Stableford only" on the scorecard if not entering the Grannies Cup.

This week's competitions are Ping and Club 4BBB and a 9 hole concurrent stableford competition.

The Ping 4BBB, leading to possible qualification to the National Finals is run in conjunction with a club 4BBB competition. 

The club 4BBB is £2.50 per person (£5 per pair). The Ping 4BBB cost as advised by England Golf is currently an additional £5 per pair. When signing in select the option to enter the Ping 4BBB and write "Ping 4BBB" on the scorecard. If not entering the Ping 4BBB then write "Club 4BBB only" on the scorecard.

Ping 4BBB winners qualify for the National Finals if their score is one of the best 25 in England. The winners also receive a prize from Ping. Prizes are awarded for 1st and 2nd place in the club competition.

Handicap allowance = 85% of course handicap

Ladies who are over 65 are also eligible to enter the Vets Cup. There is a limit of 30 handicap index for the Vets cup only. Prizes in the Vets Cup are awarded to the winner and runner up. In additional a prize is awarded to the best 75+ veteran score. These winners are not eligible for the standard Stableford prizes which are awarded to the rest of the field according to the normal prize structure.

The ordinary 18 hole stableford is £2.50 to enter and the Vets cup is £3.00. When signing in, select the option to enter the Vets Cup and write on your scorecard "Vets Cup" if you wish to enter this competition. Write "Stableford only" on the scorecard if not entering the Vets Cup.
