Below are competition fixtures for All sections

This week's competitions are a choice of either a 14 hole or 8 hole Stableford NQ competition

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 95% of course handicap

Sign in to the comp via how did I do or at the proshop. Ensure your card has been completed correctly (name, date, handicap index, course and playing handicap and signatures of player & marker). After play, enter score via how did I do or by the terminals in the clubhouse and place scorecard into the Ladies letterbox

14 Hole Competition Shotgun Start at 9:30 am

The Start Sheet will be displayed on the Seniors Notice board at 7:00 pm on Thursday 20th November

The cost will be £6 and include a turkey cob and mince pie (veggie option available please indicate on sheet)
Senior funds will cover the full costs. (if you play you will be charged £5 whether you eat or not)
There will be no earlier starts on that day. This way we can have a full clubhouse for the Presentations.

PAIRS AMERIAN GREENSOME STABLEFORD
40% Combined Course Handicap Yellow or Tees of the Day

Both players drive and then each plays their partner's ball before deciding which ball to then play. 
The player, whose ball was not selected, then plays the third shot and thereafter alternate shots are played until the hole is finished.

Please book your tee via the sign-up sheet on the Seniors Notice board in the Foyer and organise your own 4 balls.

Obtain your scorecard from the Pro shop and sign in to the competition on the How Did I Do system before you tee off

This will enter you into the comp and deduct the entry fee from your competition purse. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your purse.

Enter full names and handicaps on your scorecard and exchange it with the other pair for scoring purposes. At the end of the round check your card and score and make sure the Player and Scorer sign it.

Bring your signed scorecard into the clubhouse.

Preferred Lies (when putting on closely mown areas)

Mats Everywhere, except on teeing area where a driver is used.  Mats may not be used in penalty areas or when using a putter.

14 hole Texas Scramble Medal, men playing from the Purple tees, Ladies playing from the Red tees.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 25%/20%/15%/10% of the Course Handicaps ranging from 25% of the lowest handicap to 10% of the highest handicap. All subject to a maximum Handicap Index of 31.2 for men and 39.8 for ladies.  Players with higher handicaps may enter but will receive shots based on these limits.

Any countback will initially be determined by exact team handicap allowance. Each individual handicap allowance is calculated to 1 decimal place and added together, multiplied by 7 and divided by 9 before rounding the total to 1 decimal place.

Each player in the team tees off as normal and the best of these shots is then chosen to be used for the next shot. Each member of the team hits their shot from that spot and this process continues until the hole is played out.

Each player should take at least 3 drives. Mark the score for the hole in the column of the player whose tee shot was used.

Sign in via the clubhouse terminals before commencing your round for entry to the competition.

ENTER SCORES ONLINE on completion of your round and post your completed and signed card in the Comps box. You are signing for your gross scores only and the Comps team will check or calculate any missing handicap deductions if required for 14 holes.

The competition will be on a fesitve theme, please come along in Christmas jumpers and festive hats.

Singles Stableford YELLOW Tees 95% Handicap (NQ)

This Competition will be in 2 Divisions
Division 1        0 - 14   playing handicap
Division 2             15+ playing handicap

The reduction in handicap is to reflect being played with the use of mats everywhere and off the yellow tees

This is a non-qualifying competition for handicap purposes.

Please book your tee time via BRS normally for Thursday.

This week's competition is a 14 hole Texas Scramble Medal (team of 3) or an 8 hole Stableford

Playing Handicap (strokes received) for Texas scramble = 30%/20%/10% of the Course Handicaps (that is the sum of 30% of the lowest handicap, 20% of middle handicap and 10% of the highest handicap). 

Each player in the team tees off as normal and the best of these shots is then chosen to be used for the next shot. Each member of the team hits their shot from that spot and this process continues until the hole is played out.

Each player should take at least 3 drives. Mark the score for the hole in the column of the player whose tee shot was used.

Playing handicap for 8 hole stableford competition = 95% of course handicap as usual

Sign in via the clubhouse terminals as a team for the 14 hole fun competition before commencing your round for entry to the competition.

Ensure your card has been completed correctly (names, date, handicap index, course and playing handicap for each player and signatures of player & marker). ENTER SCORES ONLINE on completion of your round and post your completed and signed card in the Ladies Comps box. If unsure about scoring sign and enter your gross scores online and the deduction of handicap will be checked when the competition is closed

85% Handicap allowance      

Rotate the yellow ball from player 1 to 3, so all players play the yellow ball

Rotating yellow ball + 1 other score to count on each hole. so 2 scores on each hole in total.

Please book your tee time via BRS in the usual way for Thursday and organise your own 3 balls and reserve the 4th place

Obtain your scorecard from the Pro shop on Thursday and tell the Pro you are playing in the seniors' comp.
We would ask all members to sign in individually via HowDidiDo on the computer or your phone before playing.
The comp on HowDidiDo will say 'Singles Stableford'. but this is just to collect the entry fee.

Enter full names and handicaps on your scorecard. At the end of the round check your card and score, and make sure a Player and Scorer sign it.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) for 14 hole yellow ball competition = 85% of Course Handicap

The "yellow ball" is used in turn by each player and scores double. Scoring for the competition is taken from 2 of the 3 players (doesn't have to be the yellow ball player)

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 60% of lowest Winter Course Handicap plus 40% of highest Winter Course Handicap. All subject to a maximum Handicap Index of 31.2 for men and 39.8 for ladies.  Players with higher handicaps may enter but will receive shots based on these limits.

Any countback will initially be determined by exact team handicap allowance. Each individual handicap allowance is calculated to 1 decimal place and added together, multiplied by 7 and divided by 9 before rounding the total to 1 decimal place.

Both players tee off then play a shot using partners ball. Select the best 2nd shot then play alternate shots.

NO NEED TO ENTER SCORES ONLINE on completion of your round.  It would help if you can deduct 7/9 of your 18 hole Playing Handicap (rounded to the nearest whole shot) from your 14 hole gross score and post your completed and signed card in the Comps box. You are signing for your gross scores only and the Comps team will check or calculate any missing handicap deductions.
