Senior Captain’s Away Day 2024

Monday 1st July 2024 Uttoxeter Golf Club

I want to start by saying a big thank you to everyone who came and to those who could not make it.

As I stated in my opening as captain it has been a complete honour to be Seniors Captain and to host the day.

The day started well but a little rain came down that didn’t bother many people.

The course was not long but was very tricky with blind shots and a lot of hidden water (and a lot of bells) the greens were not in the best condition but I understood all who came enjoyed it.

I thought the food and service was very good, and the staff were most welcoming.

I would like to thank the head pro Adam McCandless for all his help in setting the day up.

Again, a big thank you to everyone for attending and for the people who helped me.

It was a great day

Congratulations to Adrian Ball, Ron Tinson, John Swan and Andy Lowe  on winning the team event
and to John Swan on winning the individual competition on the day
