The Beeston Fields Junior Team went on their travels to the Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club (posh title) to see if they could launch another assault on the NUGC Junior Team Trophy and they didn't dissapoint.  Prior to the first tee Freya Thomas did a tumbling act for our entertainment tripping over a rope and unfortunately damaging her knee that needed medical attention.  However, it was the damage to her new sports leggings that was of more concern, but with true grit style she battled on and played her match ... that's what we like to see.  We also had a debutant in Amelie 'Millie' Browne who is the only golfer I've ever seen who had to stretch upwards to reach her trolley handle, but nonetheless she came up with an assured performance, no drama, to win her game which was the key match. Amelia Nugent and Jack Deaton were in control of their matches and the first game out was of high quality with our battling Junior Captain, Charlie Jones, just getting pipped on the 17th.  The food was lovely after the game and I managed to cadge an extra beef and ale pie from one of the juniors who'd eaten too many chocolate bars during the round; result!

After the meal Charlie made his Captain's address and we all made our way home with a good feeling and a full belly!

Until the next time.
