The Seniors Team opened the 2026 season in style with a solid 5–3 victory over Chilwell Manor at home. The tone was set early when Bob Jones clipped the pin with his second shot on the 1st hole, prompting a raised eyebrow or two from the opposition as they confirmed his 28 handicap.

Beeston secured two tight wins in Match 1 (Bob & Phil) and Match 5 (Marcus & John), while more decisive victories came courtesy of Match 2 (Mike & Richard) and Match 7 (Rob & Julian). The standout performance of the day belonged to Matt & Ade, who delivered a commanding 6&5 win in the final match — proof that a Forest fan and a Derby County fan can work together when there are points on the line.
