Quiz Night Thursday 15rh Jamauary 2026

The first Quiz Night of 2026, held on 15th January, maintained all the popularity and momentum of last year’s social events. With 17 teams and well over 100 people taking part (photos 2 & 3), the clubhouse was buzzing—so much so that we even struggled to find enough chairs for everyone.

After a very close‑fought battle (believe it or not—and yes, we checked it twice), it was congratulations to The Saga Spice Girls, who finished on 58 points, narrowly beating The Trivials on the tie‑break. Tie‑breaks were needed again to sort out the minor placings, with six teams locked together on 54 points.

The winning team is pictured with Quizmaster John Simpson, receiving their first‑place prize.
