Information relating to the Ladies Section at Beeston Fields Golf Club
The Ladies section is a friendly and sociable section within Beeston Fields Golf Club with competitions, matches and social events being organised by the Ladies committee.
Ladies day is traditionally a Tuesday, although there is always a competition option available on a Saturday for ladies who can't play on a Tuesday. During the summer playing season most competitions are qualifiers, with a mixture of honours board and other competitions. In the winter playing season we run a mixture of individual and team fun competitions. We also run a less formal 9 hole competition every Friday. In addition, Ladies can choose to participate in the mixed competitions that are run by the main comps committee.

In 2025, Beeston Fields Ladies are participating in both the Notts silver and bronze leagues. We also participate in the Ladies & Mixed County foursomes knockout competitions and run a number of friendly ladies and mixed team competition with other clubs in Notts and the surrounding area. In addition we enter the Taskers competitions each year. So there are lots of opportunities for competitive golf.

Linda Shields - Lady Captain 2025
This week's competition is a 14 hole Texas Scramble Medal (team of 3) or an 8 hole Stableford
Playing Handicap (strokes received) for Texas scramble = 30%/20%/10% of the Course Handicaps (that is the sum of 30% of the lowest handicap, 20% of middle handicap and 10% of the highest handicap).
Each player in the team tees off as normal and the best of these shots is then chosen to be used for the next shot. Each member of the team hits their shot from that spot and this process continues until the hole is played out.
Each player should take at least 3 drives. Mark the score for the hole in the column of the player whose tee shot was used.
Playing handicap for 8 hole stableford competition = 95% of course handicap as usual
Sign in via the clubhouse terminals as a team for the 14 hole fun competition before commencing your round for entry to the competition.
Ensure your card has been completed correctly (names, date, handicap index, course and playing handicap for each player and signatures of player & marker). ENTER SCORES ONLINE on completion of your round and post your completed and signed card in the Ladies Comps box. If unsure about scoring sign and enter your gross scores online and the deduction of handicap will be checked when the competition is closed
